Provide your name, email address, phone number, or mailing address.
Upload a profile picture or other personal content.
B) Information Collected Automatically by Our Partners
To ensure the Application functions correctly, offers updated content, displays advertisements, and allows us to improve it, we integrate third-party services (our "Partners") that automatically collect certain information. These partners are primarily Google.
The information automatically collected by them includes:
Device Identifiers: Such as the Advertising ID (AAID on Android) or the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA on iOS). These are unique, user-resettable identifiers used for advertising purposes.

Usage and Diagnostic Information: Data on how you interact with the Application, such as the screens you visit, the time you spend in the app, the features you use, and crash logs in the event the Application fails.
This collection is carried out through the following services:
Google AdMob: To display relevant ads that help keep the application free.
Google Analytics for Firebase: To analyze user behavior anonymously and in aggregate, understand which features are popular, and detect and fix technical errors.
Firebase (Firestore/Remote Config): To retrieve and update game content (like new questions or categories) without requiring you to update the app from the store.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information automatically collected by our partners for the following legitimate purposes:
To Provide and Maintain the Service: We use crash reports and diagnostic data to identify and fix technical issues and ensure the Application runs stably.
To Improve the Application: We analyze aggregated usage data to understand how users interact with the Application. This helps us make informed decisions about new features, design improvements, and user experience optimization.
To Monetize the Application with Advertising: We use Google AdMob to display ads. These ads may be personalized or non-personalized.
Personalized Ads: Use your advertising identifier to show you ads that may be more relevant to you. On operating systems like iOS 14.5 or higher, this will only occur if you grant your explicit consent through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
Non-Personalized Ads: Are based on contextual information, such as the content of the application, rather than your past behavior.
4. Who We Share Your Information With
We do not share your personal information directly because we do not collect it. The automatically collected information is shared with:

Additionally, we may share information in the following limited circumstances:
Legal Obligations: If required by law, a court order, or a valid governmental request.
Business Transactions: In the event the Application is sold or transferred to another owner, the collected information would be part of the transferred assets.

5. User Rights and Control Options
Since you do not have an account with us, your control over your data is exercised directly through your mobile device's settings.
A) Opting Out of Personalized Ads
You can limit ad tracking and opt out of personalized advertising by following these steps:
On Android:
Open the Settings app on your device.
Go to Google > Ads.
Enable the "Opt out of Ads Personalization" option or select "Delete advertising ID".
On iOS (14.5 and higher):
Open the Settings app.
Go to Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Here you can disable tracking permission for GeoQuiz: World Capitals or for all apps.
Resetting your advertising identifier also breaks the link with any previous profile data associated with that identifier.
B) Exercising Other Rights
For questions about the data our partners may hold about you or to exercise your rights under GDPR or CCPA (such as the right of access or erasure), we recommend that you contact Google directly or write to us at s.emf@outlook.com so we can guide you.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Application is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you discover that your child has provided us with information without your consent, please contact us at s.emf@outlook.com. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information from our systems.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable security measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Our partners (Google) are global companies. By using our Application, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed on servers located outside of your country of residence, where data protection laws may differ. We rely on our partners' legal mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure that your data receives an adequate level of protection wherever it is processed.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING OUR APPLICATION.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms," "T&C") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Sergio Ernesto Martinez Flores ("us," "we," or "our"), the developer of the mobile application GeoQuiz: World Capitals (hereinafter, "the Application").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you must not install, access, or use the Application.
2. License to Use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use the Application on a mobile device that you own or control, strictly for your personal, non-commercial use.
3. Intellectual Property
The Application and all of its content, including but not limited to, the source code, software, scripts, texts, questions and answers, data, design, structure, graphics, logos, trademarks, and visual appearance (the "Content"), are the exclusive property of [Sergio Ernesto Martinez Flores] and are protected by the intellectual property and copyright laws of El Salvador and international treaties.
Third-Party Assets: Certain graphic elements, images, or icons may be used under a commercial license from third parties (e.g., Canva). These elements are the property of their respective owners. The license to use the Application does not grant you any rights to such elements beyond their intended use within the Application.
4. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to, and not to attempt to, perform any of the following actions:
Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that violates any local, national, or international law.
Modify, adapt, translate, decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble any portion of the Application's code.
Copy, extract, reproduce, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit any Content from the Application.
Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Application or extract data from it.
Attempt to circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with the security-related features of the Application or its networks.
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices.
Create derivative works or a competing application based on the design, structure, or Content of the Application.
5. Free Services and Future Purchases
Currently, access to and use of the basic features of the Application are free, supported by advertising.
Future Premium Services: We explicitly reserve the right to introduce, in the future, paid features, subscription models, one-time in-app purchases, or other premium services. Such services will be governed by additional payment terms presented at the time of purchase.
Virtual Currencies or Items: The Application may allow you to obtain "virtual coins" or other digital items, for example, by viewing advertisements. You acknowledge that these virtual coins:
Are part of the limited use license and do not constitute personal property.
Have no real-world monetary value and are not equivalent to any legal tender.
Cannot be transferred, sold, redeemed, or exchanged for real money or goods.
Are non-refundable under any circumstances.
6. Termination
This legal agreement is effective until terminated by you or by us.
Termination by the Developer: We reserve the right to suspend or revoke your license to use the Application at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including, but not limited to, your violation of these Terms.
Termination by the User: You may terminate this agreement at any time and for any reason by permanently uninstalling the Application from your device.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APPLICATION WILL FUNCTION UNINTERRUPTED, SECURELY, OR BE FREE OF ERRORS, VIRUSES, OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL Sergio Ernesto Martinez Flores BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING THE LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE APPLICATION.
OUR TOTAL AND CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE USE OF THE APPLICATION SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100.00 USD) OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO US (IF ANY) IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE DATE OF THE CLAIM.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sergio Ernesto Martinez Flores from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Application; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of El Salvador, San Salvador, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in El Salvador, San Salvador to resolve any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the Application.
11. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Application after such changes are posted will constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
